Yo fellow MPC users out there. I think I have a situation that I think I might need some advice on. Last few days I been constructing beats, and most of them have been different sequences. Like one sequence would have a chorus track, a verse track, a kick track, snare track and hi hat track, and mostly I use track mute to play my song (sequence)? Did I do something wrong in constructing my beats?

Okay so I chop an anime sampled beat and made three sequences (chorus, verse, bridge). Just out of curiousity, why is step edit important?

Well I made three sequences, went into song mode then arrranged them in chorus being first, then verse, and finally bridge. And they all repeat once.

step edit makes it so if something is like 1 click off, you can move it easily without having to redo your whole drum pattern or whatever. it grids out your sequence into a bunch of little parts (99?) and makes it so you can move a click this way or a click that way or ten clicks this way or whatever without messing up all the rest of your sequence.
