Anybody Using Recycle to chop there samples

Anybody using recycle with the Mpc????

If so, How do You convert Your files to wave format??

I havent touched recycle in a while but crack that help file open. There is an option to export your chops as wave files though. Sorry i cant remember the exact steps but its in the manual.

I'm not sure, but after u have sliced the samples u have to use the 'save as' function, where u can select also the filetype.

Only gives the aiff option, not wav

"File" then "Export" and choose your filetype

I use REX2MPC and export the .REX files directly into Akai .PGM files/folders. It's Mac only though.

Since I have a 500 when I have to do massive amounts of chops I generally open up Recycle.

I have a Mac, I had to result in chopping in recycle, And Importing into logic pro 8, to export as wave files, How do you create an mpc file??????

Dont know how you guys feel about this, but I have the feeling Recycle messes with the sound. It sounds way more flat once it went in to Recycle for me

That's pretty tedious. Like I said, all you need is REX2MPC:

Save your chops as a REX file from Recycle and then load it in REX2MPC. Choose which model you own and hit convert. You'll have a resulting folder containing .WAV files and a .PGM file that maps them all. Simple. I don't remember what the limitations are on the demo version, but I paid for my copy; the price was right and I like giving money to independent developers.

Even if that's true I doubt many people use drums without EQing and/or compressing them later.
