They used to be limited edition a few years ago in the UK and Japan. I cant seem to find a decent review on this thing. I wonder how it sounds?

Here's my estimation dude. It's probably a halfway decent turntable and definitely better than the $90 crap you'll find at Best Buy next to the "Scrubs" DVDs.
However as much as I like Vestax you're paying for cool aesthetics more than anything else (I would guess). It's sort of mimicking some of the other audiophile decks with glass platters and visible belts in appearance. If you value something that performs good and looks great, then it's probably for you. If you just want something that's good but doesn't look as cool, you have a lot of other options for $100-200 less. There are some entry level audiophile tables like Rega's that look pretty kick ass in my opinion and are definitely quality.

numark is one of those companys that fights to be up there with the b/rest of them.

Numark never took over Vestax. They only own Akai and Alesis.
At one time Vestax was distributed by Stanton in the US -- if that's what you're thinking. Vestax still makes good products.

this happen a few yrs ago i think 3-4yrs back, i had an article on here but i cant find it, but yes that was one reason i was going to start checking things out really good from vestax cause numark was cheap in the mid 90's they used cheap parts ,they still do,but they were going to start putting in cheap parts in the vetsax mixers,
i just bought a new 05 pro last yrs new but it's an older model the last one they had in the box, it was made before numark got to it.
yeah i have a vestax/stanton mixer pmc610 but that was way back in like 92-3 when that was, then stanton magnetics came out and they went there own ways

They never merged. They're two distinct companies owned by two distinct groups. Numark owns Alesis and Akai -- that's it. Oh, and those rebranded ION turntables are theirs too. You're not going to find an article because a merger or acquisition never happened.
And I bought my PMC-05 Pro III over a year ago and it's still going strong; never even replaced the crossfader or cleaned it yet. I also have a Handy Trax I take out every time I dig.

I like the Rega's, the p1 is missing some features though. Still looking for a review on that vestax...
