Sound "phases" when triggered from external MPC

When a sound is triggered on my MPC2500 through midi from a MPC1000, the sound sounds like it phases itself out. Isn't that weird? When I play the sound directly from the MPC2500 it sounds like it's supposed to...
I have checked, if more than one sound is played.

might be a stereo input issue... have you tried running in mono to see if you have this issue?

is it playing two samples on top of each other?

Na im not saying you im saying the machine, double check to see if you got some type of midi feedback loop happening causing it to double tap. The latency would be low enough where it would sound more like a phase than a double.

a crude way would be to start pulling some midi cables out and listening for differences. I would just verify that all the ins and out are correct and that everything is assigned 100% correct.

I am running my midi through a Midisport 8x8, and that is were it happens. So now I just have to figure out, why it is making a midi feedback loop...?

Just go one wire at a time. You might come across a connection that doenst have to be. Or you may need to set a piece of gear to not recieve on a specific channel. Almost there man
