Need help on downloading vinyl samples

Wow, I got bashed.

I just bought my PMC and never did anything with beat production before, so sorry if my lingo is off. I'm 27, the only electronics I know of are the electronics on cars and how to work my computer. I am a vinyl DJ and have been for a while and play the drums on the side. If someone asks me how to do a chirp scratch or how to beat match, i wouldn't laugh at them because they're fellow DJ's like me and I respect anyone who spins. I put up scratch tutorials on youtube to help others improve.

The manual, I can't learn by reading page after page, never have, never will. I learn best by watching. I pick things up this way best. I'm a mechanic by trade and that's how I learned how to fix cars. So i've been learning through videos which has been working out for me so far, but couldn't find one on how to convert my vinyl to the MPC. So I wanted a quick answer.

As far as research, I learn by using. I've been through 3 types of turntables, 5 mixers, and a bunch of recievers. I bought this MPC because it's entry level and if I want more, I can sell it and up grade as I do with my DJ equiptment.

Anyways, I don't mind getting clowned, as long as I get the answer I need. But just so I don't look like a jackass, I feel I needed to explain myself. I don't want you to think i'm some wanna be kid who wants to be cool and thinks making beats comes easy. I love music and love making music and I always will. I know you all started somewhere too. I respect anyone who loves making music at any level. I'm new to beat production, but I do have DJ experience and I do play drums and will be doing this forever.

Don't worry about the 'read the **** manual' clique man... just hook up the outs on your mixer to the ins on the MP and you'll be half way there.

Cool, thanks. Someone sent me a message and told me to hook my mixer to the ins and use mode+rec. I'm gonna do it tomorrow. I also started getting used to wavepad sound editor today. Haven't used it on the MPC yet, but i'm getting the USB cable tomorrow and i'm gonna give that a go aswell. I'll let you know how it goes.

Gotta admit that u felt a little bit stupid afterwards when u had ur answer. Like u were looking for something that was actually standing in front of u the whole time.

The sampler in the mpc is nothing more then a recording device. Mixer's rec outs....

I didn't even know what a MV 8000 was till I looked it up. Looks pretty nice. Never got into producing. Just DJing and collecting vinyl. But i'm getting addicted to this MPC500. It'll take a long time for me to learn whats out there and how things work as far as producing goes, but I guess thats the fun of it. Shit, I still work with vinyl and never crossed over to the digital world on my decks. I've been getting the serato itch for a while now tho.
