Explicit- wrote:Yo ONE you said before that you thought Gowie was dope and that you enjoyed his music. So Im guessing that you and have some of the same visions... Why not collab with Gowie again? You guys came on point.

But personally I dont want any negativity coming in this thread. If you want to do your own thing then do it. You dont see some of us going in your threads bashing your instrumental project cuz you aint got MC's.

Everyone is focused on putting in work so its all good. Whether your dropping instrumentals or collabing with MCs we are expanding.

But for reals... You and Gowie should get a collab going again.
Peace

I wasn't trying to bash the project at all. If it came off like that I apologize. I think it was great and will probably want to contribute again. My comment was a reflection of where I'm at, and basically saying to people that think that MC only tracks are unfair that this is what the project is about and you don't like it, you can always do something on your own. Or try to fight to become EP of one of these down the line and add instrumentals if you like. The message is: if what other people are doing doesn't fit with what you do, either do whatever to fit in or...Do you...and move on.

Outside of the forums project there is no rule that says you MUST have a vocalist.

As far as Gowie, there is no bad blood whatsoever, or between myself and anyone else I have worked with. I'm just on another course, and figuring out my own lane. From what I understand Gowie is doing the same.

I think instrumental INTERLUDES would be okay, but that's just me...perhaps a 10-15 second snippet just to move the album along....but they'd have to be good! Just think Soul Survivor...the beats in between the songs added to the feeling of the whole project. Call me weird, but I think it's a cool idea.

Its all good. 8)

I thought we have spoken about this already in another thread?
I could of sore we mentioned doing a Instrumental Only Mixtape sometime by the end of this year for the forums as a project.

Thats a different story for a different time though. We focused on this project at the moment.

Hopefully you send us something.

Peace

Stickies are not necessary..... Because some peeps on here do not read them, and claim that the info was not broadcast anough.... So skip the sticky phase... Alot of times they are ignored.... then it is the OP fault someone did not know the info was avail....

Sticky it... That way they(Mixtapes) have all had the same opportunity

Yeah, I guess many of you guys really aspire to work in the music industry and take music production very seriously. You should have connections with MC's, singers, labels etc because networking is very important as we all know.

But others like myself have very different aspirations far removed from the music industry. I may or may not have as much talent as those mentioned above, but music production for me is simply a creative hobby which I enjoy.

I am in my mid thirties, and to be honest the people I usually network with are not MC's and singers and wouldnt want to be. But I am still capable of making good music and contributing to future editions of the mixtape.

I was lucky to make volume 1 thanks to Dave who did a great job pairing beats and MC's, if the "rules" were the same then I wouldn't even have had that opportunity!

Guess I'll have to sit out from now on...

(I reckon some 'good' forum mc's should have to choose from 'good' forum beats to give us non-industry types a fair shout)
