So,i got a microkorg a couple of days ago,and i cant figure it out how to connect it with my MPC 500. And yes,i know, that 9 out of 10 people will say "read the fukin manual",and i swear, ive read it,the only problem is,that im not very good at english, and the part of the manual where it writes about this,is too complicated for me. Could someone please tell me how can i use the Microkorg with the MPC's sequencer?

thanks

Yeah, you can do it without a mixer. It took me a while to figure that one out too. After connecting the midi cables properly, you also need to plug the Microkorg's main outputs into the MPC's RECORD IN. In order to hear the sounds that you are playing on the MicorKorg... you gotta turn the MPC's INPUT THRU to ON. To do this... hit MODE and then PAD8 to bring you to MIXER MODE. Hit the F5 button to bring you to the INPUT tab. At the top left corner of the screen turn INPUT THRU: to ON.

You should be good to go.

If you need even more details... check out my other post where I listed very exact step-by-step instructions on how to cable everything, and the proper setting for both the synth and the MPC.
