Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000
By jonespnice Fri Jul 23, 2004 5:02 pm
I have in my setup a proteus2000, an extreme lead, an xv 5050, a korg triton keyboard, a roland varios, and my computer that I use as a sound module also, via midi. How can I have everything hooked up and working at the same time when the mpc4000 only has 4 midi outputs? If any has a solution I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Yes, use the thru, but turn off the midi receive on the device channeles that you don't want triggered. Say you want to use ch. 1-8 on your 5080 - through to ch 9-16 on the xlead. Turn off the midi receive on ch. 9-16 on the 5080 and turn off midi receive 1-8 on the xlead.
