Hey guys

Okay I am a total newbie to the MPC 1000 and forgive me if If in the future I ask "Stupid Questions" because I am totally new to everything MPC. I just bought a used MPC 1000 and it needs some repairs. I have done my research and I can easily replace some of the broken buttons that are on it. But I have noticed that my (F4) button does not work at all. Everytime I press it, the MPC does nothing. The tabs that are on the bottom of the screen all have a reaction with the (F1) (F2) etc.. etc.. button but when I press the (F4) nothing happens. I would like to know how critical is the F4 button to the MPC and do you guys have any suggestion on how to fix it? or who can fix it? Next what is the cheapest place to buy buttons for the MPC (VST, MPC-Stuff, E-Bay)? Thanks in advance

stupid ass questions...

You see that’s the problem with forums online, because dumbasses like you think you know everything about anything, and you take someone’s simple questions as stupid. When you first got started I know you didn’t know anything about the MPC, so why bag on somebody who is just getting started too? That’s BullS***. The whole point is that I don’t know what the F4 button does. Obviously I said I am new and I don’t know too much about the MPC yet. So would someone who actually wants to help, please answer my questions.

I don't think you see the problem. The problem is dumbases like you who think they're too important to try finding the answers to questions ON THEIR OWN. You're absolutely right, when i first got started i sure as shit didn't know much about the MPC... i'm not bagging on your lack of knowledge im bagging on your lack of INITIATIVE. That's BullS***. the whole point is TURN ON YOUR MPC, start trying to make a beat and you'll find out just what the F4 button does. I'm sure you know enough to figure out that the F buttons are context sensitive, what each one does is dependent on YOUR workflow. How the F*** are we supposed to know if the button is important to you if we dont know what you're using your mpc for??

and if you've "done your research" and know that you can easily replace buttons, you can take 10 minutes to do your research on which store has the cheapest price for the button.
