so i just got the mpc1000 on ebay, used, anddd i am having lots of trouble..
so i keep getting an "insufficient memory" message anytime i try to chop a sample, or add samples, whatever. i have a 2gb memory card. it says i have like 1900something mb of space, but less than 4 mb of wav space (is it supposed to be that much?? shouldn't you have more room for wav files??)
i looked online and some people said to buy more ram... so i ordered that.. hope it works and not a waste of $$
just now i had 4 drum hit wav's (very small files) and like a 10 second sample from a song, which i wanted to chop up in the mpc and set the new samples to pads... but, it says insufficient memory when i try to add just one, less than a second long sample
should i chop the sample on my coputer before i put it on the mpc so it takes up less space? what is the least-annoying way to do that?
am i missing something? i feel like i should have more space on my machine...
