Sample Chop Calculator (Excel)

How's it work?

It's based upon pre-defined section lengths (eg 1 bar, 1 1/4 note, 1 1/8 note etc). It's good for chopping breaks into equal segments or spanning a sample over the 12 pads of the MPC (again, equally).

Just something for a bit of fun, and hopefully to quell the number of 'why is there no chop shop on the 500' n00b queries...

I see now what you're saying, like chopping a bar into 1/8 notes equally.

I think thats a great idea for these brain-dead newbs.

As for myself, I chop by ear and when I've got that magic number, I take that and either divide or multiply by 2, 4, 8, or 16. Good mind you got man.
