So last week I replaced my f3 tact switch and my brothers mode button tact switch. -Everything worked at this point.

Then just the other day I helped my bro with installing the new pads into his 1k, right after this his full level button/LED stopped working. The LED on 16 levels is dead too.

I bought a new switch and soldered it in, still nothing, then i took a known working switch, from numeric and soldered that into full level, still dead.

I'm thinking this is a PCB board problem now? It seems like it went bad after the new pads were installed.
Has anyone had anything similar happen to them? Any ideas/suggestions before my bro orders a new board completely?

reply here or [email protected]

thanks!

Just a found a thread where the user installed the new pads and then the cf card reader stopped working. He put the old pads back in and cf card reader started working properly again. Im going to go try this now and see if theres a short somewhere

check if all cables connections are mounted correctly especially the flatbands, u ve to ground urself first
before accessing and modding the inner mpc parts cause of the static electricity!!!(danger, sensitive parts!!)
mostly this problems occur due to bad mounted parts/cabls.(maybe also a short somewere, like a forgotten skrew
somwere inside or any metallic residue, i killed an amp one time as an humide spider! shorted the
amp chips! the spider was completly burned, the amp also.)

Yea i redid all the connections flatbands and screws, still nothing.

The guy from MPCSTUFF said that sometimes people have to get new PCBs altogether to get the new pads to work properly. Has anyone else heard of that? Or is he just hutstlin?

The back of the PCB looks really dirty with remnants of loose solder, I'll try and get some PCB cleaner because im thinkin it might be shorting somewhere.
