Yo Fellas,
after handling some problems when I first got my 3K -with the appreciated help from some of you guys- I was busy working on some beats without any problems.
Today something strange happened:
I loaded the APS and SEQs of a beat a made a few days ago since I wanted to listen to it again (which I've done before several times) - but immediately I heard that something was wrong when the Intro was playing a few seconds - the drums and the samples didn't 100% fit anymore.
Listening to it I found out that the samples were now playing at their original speed - so somehow the MP did not recognize the pitch adjustments I set up for each sample. That's kinda strange as I
a) did not change anything by mistake and then saved it (as the saved files are the initally saved ones which were)
b) played before quite often. As I said at the beginning, I loaded the files several times before to listen to my beat and never had that problem.
Does anybody have an idea how that is possible? Once again, the samples are played at their original speed so it seems like the MPC does not recognize the pitch adjustment I set up for each sample (which it usually does - checked it immediately and all other beats play without any problem).
Is it possible that the regarding parameter-"file" is damaged or something?
My second problem / question has something to do with programs:
What I wanted to do is the following: I saved some programs called "Kicks", "Snares", "HiHats" etc each containing 64 SNDs...So after I decided which Kick to use and recording it I wanted to load the "Snares" PGMs to search and record a matching snare.
But after I made the PGM Snares being the active programm and recorded a second track with the snare, the recorded kick on track01 is replaced by the snare that is saved on the pad the kick was saved on the "drums" PGM.
Somewhere I have read that you can assign programms to tracks so that each track can load sounds from a different programm (which would make sense) - but somehow I could find no menue in my 3K that would fit...could somebody please help me?
I hope I was able to explain everything easy to understand...writing that stuff in a foreign language is hard sometimes
