MPC 3000 sound efx..?

i'm thinking of getting a MPC 3000. i just have a question about it... Does the Mpc 3000 have efx. I have a mpc2000xl and i have efx like reverb and echo/ delay. does the mpc 3000 have those same sound efx..? oh i got another question. can u put an internal 250 zip drive in the mpc3000 like i have on my mpc2000xl.. thanx

No...The 3000 doesn't have efx. I think you can format the SCSI to make it read the Iomega Zip Drive if I'm not mistaken but don't quote me on it.

No sure if 3000 has it, but the 60 has in an effects in/ out/ send & you can control it via the echo mixer in the machine. Works almost the same way but much better, becuase you can actually buy a good external effect unit, instead of being stuck with the crappy ones in the newer MPCs.

I thought the 3000 doesn't have efx but I looked at the manual and come to found it does have efx but !!! only one efx and it's the delay. So technically it does but only has delay so yes 7 1 4...I don't know what I'm talking about.

..As mentioned it does have a basic delay,but-its not its FX that made it the legend it is!!

I know its conveinient to have the ability to deal with it all on board-but I would say cop a little mixer and a SE70/50 or two (little 90's boss FX boxes-cheap but good) and you'll be set.Much more flexible and better quality than the onboard Akai FX.

The other option would be to sync up the 3k to your DAW and use plug ins..

..however you do it-just get the 3000!!

or you can keep all those samples dry and just add delays,early 1994-era style hahaha!
