So dope... dedicated mode buttons are back, thanks to JJ. Big reason I might get a 2500.

BUT anyway... Yes, Bring back <Traditional> SIMULT PAD in JJ OS! I'm getting sick of typing this, but increasing awareness seems like the only way.

g'bye. take your pacifier with you. it's not my job to make you happy

matey....take it easy
your answer wasn't legitimate, was lame and hillarious...

this MPC forum, not BAttery or other one...
If I want to use PC, I don't need MPC at all
I rather go for NI Maschine or a new akai midi controller

and remember in 90's DR DRE or others never heard about battery....

and honestly I know your great input for this forum Nym,
and I really appretiate it,
don't take me wrong, but recently you've lost the plot mate
and you heading wrong way
I know it's not easy to admit it...

BTW
I remember your answer regarding second filter when OS2 has come - no way, it can be done, blah blah, it's impossible. Well it looks like it is in XL, but you need to pay for it and loose a few important features.

in a short way buddy - just admit it, os xl is a step back and it needs to be repaired...
read this forum....
and HEAR what people says

take it easy mate

more quiet happy users than loud whiners...
one of a few reasons i haven't visited much anymore

in the meantime, enjoy my post in studio environments, "Why isn't everything the way i want it always," because it applies here nicely

If I want to use PC, I don't need MPC at all

integration beats any and all single use machine. anyday. the only thing i've lost is the squeeze of 32 voice polyphony

[quote="Nym"]more quiet happy users than loud whiners...

Loud whiners... ahha I want a simple feature back ....you didn't call me a loud whiner when I was bitching about simult and jj actually implemented it in the first place... you were happy ....this forum has shaped an os in a way ...and to say it came from whiners is pretty harsh seeing this whole board respects you ...well everyone but jehrome or what ever dudes name was a few years ago...... I v been silent this whole time until simult got f*ucked around with .....I m not trying to get you to admit that this os is a step back I m trying to help all of us make it better and if thats called whining ...then called me Doug Whiner .... I m not trying to get you mad nym ...your the messenger I d just be stupid to shoot you ...but people who are unhappy and would like to see simult, shut up and just use battery or other options because layering with the mpc isnt an option ....well you can layer but it sucks..I would just like that option back ..and when its back ,I will be gone again for another 2 years untill someone f*ucks it up again

word em up ... go get em nym ... we need your help to get things cleared up for the people who like this feature ...I v been using battery for a while now and its not fun at times ...sounds great dont get me wrong ....but its not how I wanna work ...simult has been a feature to me from the 90's and to see it go to the waste side is like seeing note repeat or some feature that has always been on my mpc go ... I m a BIG fan of the quantize strength .... i think its genius and with simult my 2500 would be honestly the best mpc I think to work with.

in other words please please with sugar, cake, chocolate sprinkles , regular sprinkles, cherries , icing, cookies and jesus skin flakes pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee relay the message that there is more people then you think that is effected by this simult crisis. i would really appreciated it and if it does happen donations will be made by me personally what ever it takes in rough times!

hahah savillion i got you don't worry, im speaking on the majority of the talk on os2xl on these boards, not on the board/os development relationship history. after all, before the poll was reset, last time i lookedd showed os2xl with 25 users (ahead by 3 or 4, and you sure don't see those 25 in here downtalking their platform)

like you said, you're not even in here that much

for sure .....for people who dont use simult os2xl is a dream come true.... too people who do use simult ...its a let down...the only reason its a let down is because other features are so amazing in os2xl while other features are missing . When people talk down on os2xl its because they really want to use the new features but find it hard to let go of old ones.....if os2xl was complete crap we wouldn't even be having this discussion . I d just use os2. DAM YOU QUANTIZE STRENGTH WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SOOOOO NICEE!

y'know, Nym is not the only one with an email program & JJ's address. if you got a request / complaint then just email JJ yourself instead of relying on someone else to do it. the emails just go to JJ's helper Murai anyway & then Murai will relay the jist of the message(s) to JJ.

i think people stand a better chance of getting their request responded to if he is hearing from multiple people all requesting the same thing. a bunch of people seem to really want old Simult back (i never use it personally) so they should all email JJ a simple and clearly written message and let him know.

Savilion-- I'm with you on the misssion, 100%. Check out this thread I'm linking-- The Poll question is poorly phrased, but it does show that we're not alone. It might deserve a bump.

While the old Simult had it's advantages, none of which Akai felt was important enough to be included in the features, the new has some pretty obvious advantages as well.
You will never see them if you focus on it not being the old way.

Here's just one example.
If you sequenced something in Pattern 01 using Program 03 and had PAD A1 linked to PAD B3 for a a certain combined kick and wanted Pattern 02 to use Program 03 but wanted only PAD A1 to create a slight breakdown affect when you used them together in Song Mode it would require the creation of a different Program without the Pads being linked and an additional track.
The way Simult now works you can play a pattern with the Pads linked in the Program then play another pattern or even just a portion of the pattern with them un-linked without affecting the other Pattern or poprtion of the pattern that had them linked using just one Program and on the same track.
My opinions on the Simult function and the Arp have greatly changed over time as I started to see so many useful ways they could be used.
The Strength function however still and always will remain unused for me just as it has on other things that offer that feature.
I'm glad some find it useful for their methods and appreciate it but I satill believe in the put notes where you want them method.

The only time I see the old Simult as a value would be in live performance where the ability to realtime trigger multiples sounds is a real asset.
For song creation I much rather go with the new way.
Once you get in the habit of having a function way of assigning your samples to a your Pads even the concept of editing becomes easierfor the new Simult.

Maybe JJ will change it but me personally would hate to see it not be an option.

I actually started that (and yes it was very poorly worded), I actually picked arp and chord as a for instance more than anything. But I'm with you savilion, I'd like to start an email campaign or something.
