What drive do I nee MPC2000

Hi im new to the forum,
Ive got a Mpc 2000 and would like to find out the exact drive/s that i can use for it as well as thecable that i would need
any help would be greatly apprciated

ive seen the 2000 around here with the internal cf drive...that would be ur best bet...

An internal Card Reader in an MPC2000 is mighty tough to install, as Maxillaa points out. It requires a tremendous amount of precision soldering - one slip and you have damaged your sampler. Last I heard, Forat was charging $300 for just the soldering mod.

External Zip drives are a good, inexpensive way to go. You could also get an external Card Reader or a Hard Drive.

that card reader is so nasty man. Soldering takes lots of practice, i used to be an electrician in the military on helicopters, so i got real good at it, you can take classes on it which i would suggest before trying something like this before you make your mp into a $500 paper weight, like he said one slip and its ova babay

I also did the scsi mod.
If I can do that, everybody can.
To prepare for the job is the main thing.
And just read carefully.
It just takes one evening about time.

Ive got an 2000xl too with a iomega scsi 100, that has two termination switches at the back this works fine for the xl.
although the zip drives have low storage compared to other drives, at the moment its good with my budget ;p i would like to pay under £50 i dont know what that is in dollars. and would anyone be able to recommend a place where i might be able to acquire any reccomened drives

I'v got an internal IDE ZIP250 drive for my mpc-2000xl, it's great...no messy SCSI wires needed or any aditional power adapters as it sits nice and snug inside the MPC in place of the nasty floppy drive, cheaper than a MCD drive and also personaly I preffer the ZIP as I dont like lets say a 1gb card with lots and lots of folders...
I also use a external SCSI ZIP100 drive for my S-3200XL....
The choice as they say is up to you
An internal IDE zip250 drive will set you back the costly sum of 5 quid from ebay lol
I got a spare internal ZIP100 drive somewhere if you want it
External SCSI drives seem to fetch a lot more I paid 30 quid for one few weeks back for my S-3200XL

i'm really new to hardware and i recently came up on a mpc 2000. i have a SCSI MCDISK2 CF reader attached that i'm having issues with. I keep getting a SCSI Write Error when i want to save sequences. I can load up sounds fine but it will not allow me to save anything.
has anyone else had this issue, if so how did you fix it??
