Bundle isn't for me, but my girlfriend. She's been thru a lot in the past couple months, and she's in a bad state of mind right now, so I wanted to get her this to cheer her up, b/c it's nearly exactly what she was trying to save up for. (MPC5000, headphones, and Monitors)

Examine this for me. ???
http://cgi.ebay.com/AKAI-MPC5000-MPC-50 ... 1|294%3A50

Does that sound sketchy or legit? Will I be getting screwed over with refurbished products? I'd rather not surprise her with a gift that, in the end, needs to be returned, leaving her in a worse mood, if yall feel me. -.-
New to this, so if it wasn't supposed to be a surprise I'd have her come on here and explain, but that just isn't the case. :?

Help is appreciated,
Thnkx. :)

This looks like a great deal. MPC 5000, headphones, decent mics w/ cables are advertised as new and the bx8a monitors are refurbished. As long as they stick by their product (meaning a warranty of some sort) then i think you will be fine. Hell, half of my gear is used or refurbished. I know cats that have paid over $2200 just for the mpc5000 alone. This looks like a nice starter package for your girlfriend. Just pay w/ paypal so your purchase is backed up if anything goes wrong.

yeah and the mics are a bonus since they can go for around 100 bucks a piece...

and those mics are pretty versatile too. I dont know anything about those monitors... but who cares since the price is right.

Yeh, i'm a frequent PayPal user, so this should go well. Thanks a lot.

Hmm, I'm not sure if she needs microphones, but hell, if it comes free, I don't think she'll complain too much.

Refurbished means it was used and abused before, but they cleaned it and put new parts to make it look new. So its not factory-shipped brand new.

Oh, so they should work well then?
Also, how big is this machine?
Is there a stand/mount for them, or do I just have to find space?

Pro Audio Star is a legit company, ontop of that they use paypal, which insures your purchase. :D i wanted that same deal.

Pro AudioStar is definitely Legit! I got my 2500 from them a month ago. Talked him down to $1175 And got a $300 Rebate from Akai for purchasing it in the month of April. I was a lil skeptical too. But the package was delivered. With all the proper packing. Not sure if it was refurbished or not, but Its still workin! I checked with akai and he is an Authourized Dealer.

And I used PayPal too! They give you good buyer protection!
