mastering beats

this local kat has a full recording studio and charges 30 bucks to record vocals and master each beat... I dont have the equipment to do this.. How much better can the beats sound? Compared to already havin your samples soundin good with the built in mixer on the MP? PS: Beats are already recorded in 24 bit quality..

I somehow doubt your beats are recorded in 24 bit if you are using a 2000xl...

For 30 bucks i'd give it a try and see how it turns out.

yeah that's what i meant... though I am only assuming he is using an XL since it's in his name and that is the forum department he posted in... maybe he is on a 4000?

He's prob forced to record the beat on 24bits cause the session with the vocals inside Cubase/Nuendo is already in 24bits.

Either way a producer/engineer with a trained ear can yeild better reselts than an amatuer so he probably can do a much better job than you. $30 is cheap!

$30 is a good price, i charge $50 per track to mix and master, which is low too.. If he's a good engineer your track is going to sound significantly better than straight out the box, theres a lot of elements to post production that a lot of producers dont know, and some do know but just dont worry about because after they sell the beat another engineer will do the post production. For instance with me, when I work a track I always have the producer or artist give me the raw beat and vocals etc (no effects, no plug-ins) then I go to work. Listen to some samples of his stuff and if it sounds good give it a try hell
