Apparently Bluebox has a tool to make the midi assignment for the pads "chromatic", or in linear order automatically.
(Why would they be in any other order? Weird.)
So I'm gonna try to figure out the increments, or at least try to tune the 12 keys in four octaves by ear I guess.
If anybody is aware of an easier or more precise way please let me know.
I'm on a roll now because I just connected via midi for the first time in my life a few hours ago and want to get this figured out.
Edit: Much simpler than I thought.
Necessity is truly the mother of invention!
It turns out that each solid pitch increment, IE: the 1 in 01:00, will apparently hit every note.
I incremented A1 to D12 from -24:00 to +23:00 and the same keys an octave apart matched. In fact apparently, and smartly, it was designed that way seeing as the pitch control only goes from -24 to +24.
So now I have a 48 key keyboard trigger.
You just gave to reassign each button to the new sound when you change sounds, but thats pretty quick to do.
Not so bad, although it would be nice if this where an automated function like the 12 levels button, located underneath the Midi menu would be fine.
And plus I finally figured out how to use tracks.
Because I finally had to!
