That's why I linked to the pic from the Fantom thread because it seemed like it was really him and that setup was now different.

diegoeskryptic, you put the Open Labs in your signature does that mean you went ahead and ordered one?

TVs and automobiles were US inventions. But the Japanese took them to another level. The same is true for MPC sequencers. Roger Linns original design has been improved dramatically.

We are saying the same thing wow nitpicking! However a mpc without it's sequencer is just that a hardware sampler <software sampler.

I am just playing...every time I read something about Roger Linn and what he did two decades ago....I feel a weird need to say something. Roger Linn is like an ol skool rapper talking about the new catz in the game. Until he brings some heat (aka release a worthy MPC-type of product), he will be like Larry Holmes 'lookin flabby and sic"

I, Gotcha, true , however, even with Logic`s sequencer which is 3840 ppq and nondestructive edits many on this board still prefers the Roger Linn inspired mpc sequencers over others so we can give the old man dap for that.

Day by day the samplers get more and more convient, powerful and extremely flexible especially software engines (even though mpcs are software in a box) the main reason we can make jams that knock is the ease and ability of a good sequencer to compose with. Without which we would just have a box full of sounds that you see all of those live players playing by hand like a roland simmon`s drum kit. I`m no player just a composer and the understanding of the sequencer is paramount to make music.
