MidiHandshake problem..ughh i

ok so i just got my juno d in today..so first thing i do is grab the midi cables mpc out to synth in ..sythn out to mpc..
but all its doing is mixing the mpc sounds with the juno's keyus when i play the juno..
wtf am i doing wrong ..please help me

alright so im not familiar with the 500 but im sure it has a drum class and a midi class on the main screen go ahead a switch that batch over to midi now and a respected midi channel on both the juno and the mpc so that they are the same..

niether on the main mpc screen

like i understand how to do this..i have it all hooked up and its working..but i just cant figure out how to stop the mpc sounds from playin over the keys on the synth..

well what are you trying to do?

are you just trying to use the juno to play the sounds of the mpc? because if you are trying to use the mpc to sequence the juno I believe you have it wired up wrong (should be midi out from the mpc to midi in of the juno)

im trying to sequence the juno's internal sounds to the mpc..by playing the keys on the juno
its workign ang everything ,..but i just cant get rid of the mpc sounds from being on the juno...
right now i got it synth out to mpc in and mpc out to synth in

ok well i been playin around with it for hours now.. the only way i can get the mpc's sounds to stop playin on the juno and still sequence the junos sounds on the mpc is by turning the volume on the mpc down all the way but then i cant hear the mentronome..can someone help me out im so close haha..
i know im on the right track just need some guidance haha

now I have no idea if this will work... I dont even have an mpc500 but maybe take a look at this:

when you go to the page to assign samples to the prefered pad you might be able to change the midi note... cycle through them untill you get a blank note. or play around with that... maybe it will help.

Go to track page. Just hit the TRACK button.

Here u can c all the important info about this track. U also c which one of ur programs are assigned to this track.
Turn this fiel to 'off'. So the mpc won't trigger internal sounds.
If I'm correct (not sure, don't own a 500 anymore, or peep the manual for this, search for midi channels) u can also set the midi channel in this screen. Set the midichannel. It's best to start with 1A

Now set the same midichannel for the Juno, and ur ready to go.

c it wont let me change the program to off..only lets mne pick from the sound programs that are loaded
