HEY PEEPS I JUST GOT A NEW MPC 2500...I BOUGHT A CF CARD 2 GIG KINGSTON.SO IF ANYONE HAS THE 2500 AND THE OPERATORS MANUAL ON PAGE 108 "LOADING A SAMPLE" WELL I D0WNLOAD SOME SAMPLES FREE ONES I ALSO GOT SOME THROUGH OTHER SITES...WELL I LOAD THE CARD... I CAN HEAR THE SAMPLES ALL OF THEM....AND WHEN I ASSIGN IT TO A SELECTED PAD... SAY LIKE THE FIRST PAD.. I GO LOAD THE SAMPLE AND THEN I HIT THE MAIN BUTTON TO GO BACK TO HIT THAT SAME PAD AND NOTHING!!!! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG THE SAMPLES ARE .WAV WHATS GOING ON... YEAH I KNOW IM A NOOB....PLEASE HELP

Hi there.

Try to go easy on the captials, looks like youre shouting (which Im sure you're not).

Hmm, ok well try mode + the PROGRAM mode key (I think its 7).

Now here you can see your program (shown at the top) and whether a sample is assigned to a pad. Make sure the sample is assigned and make a note of the Program name.

Go back to the main screen, and click down to where the program is named - it should be the same one you saw in the Program screen.

Hit the pad - make sure you're hitting it loud enough to generate a sound.

If you can hear the sound when you try to load them I don't think its a file issue.

:roll: :roll: Don't ask the same question in different theads. I'm guessing you're problem is that the samples aren't 44.1khz/16 bit. Try sampling something from a record or cd and see if that woirks when assigned to a pad...
