Afternoon.
I've just got some instrument samples and was spending this morning building sequences. Nothing too complicated, just drums on one tracks, bass on another, then some piano and some horns on the top.
Now for the 1st time I note that when laying the 4th track (horns)
- When I initially program the tracks (with all others set to mute) - the volume of the horns is fine (the level is set to 100 and the track is set to maximum)
- But when I play ANY other track as well as ALL other tracks when playback - the volume of the horns really decreases. It definitely is NOT the fact that other instruments are playing, as even if I unmute a 'quiet' track - such as piano - the volume of the horns goes so low I can barely hear it.
I've even tried laying down the horns 1st (as track 1) - but once I add the other tracks - the volume goes right down
At the moment Im using headphones - so the mixer doesn't seem to help very much.
Note that when I initially load up the horn samples - the volume is nice and loud.
So has anyone else had this issue - and if so - could they let me know how they get around it.
Only direct record stops me from going to JJOS, so I'd prefer something that lets me stay on AKAI OS (even though it seems im the only 2500 user on earth who still uses it).
