the only feature i would like to see is the " Zone " feature ....

i dunno anything about mpc2k or 2kll etc .. but i know they dont have CPF cards or Usb ..... and they suck on storage

i dont mind the wavs only on the 1k ... cuz any file can get turned to wav no matter what ....

but that zone feature would save alot of USB ( recycle time etc )

timestrech, who cares , when my motif es gets samplin ram ... i will do all my time streches on there ....

but the ZONE we need

EVERYONE HERE SHOULD MAKE THREAD FOR 1k and ZONE IN NEW OS every day until its done !!!!!!!

different to the most wishes i saw till now, i would like to see a feature that other machines also don't have. :) i would like a second mute group function that actualy only mutes the sample. now the muted sample just stops playing till the next time its triggerd. not of any use for beat programing, i know. but this way you could have a melody loop playing and at certain points overwrite single notes without having the base loop stop playing. anybody know what i meen?

^Mute???

do it real - time...i dont know tho...havent tried that tactic...

but the one feature that seems to be missing is the one where you can make the sample play untill you let go of the pad in the params section...it has poly & mono...but there should be a Off feature aswell or something of that sort...but should be a must if you plan on using samples of any style...i dont much about this...lol...

but the one trick i've learned to get around that...is leave a Open pad next to that sample...and set the both params of both pads to the same Mute Group & set the voice overlap on both pads to MONO...and when i want to have that sample stop i tap the blank pad next to it...kinda woks but could be easier if that feature was implemented...lol...

^i may have released a lil secret there...lol....it'll help in the mean time atleast for those that are looking for that option...

also some other little things would help such as the mixer...could use some number's to know where your at on levels and on the panning...i know im the type of person who wouldnt want the main kick set at 68 and the snare next to it at 58 and make everything too quiet...but ehhh its whatever....

and the zone feature is a must...

I still can't believe that no one has said anything about the trim screen triggering. I brought it up awhile ago but heard nothing back. I have a 2000 and my roomate has a 2000xl. When cutting samples in the trim screen you tap any pad once and the sample is triggered. Very nice for cutting drums. But on the 1000 you have to hold down the pad. This sucks. I have to use the Play Loop pad to trim drums now. Does this bother noone else? Does noone cut drums anymore? No real beat makers that sample drums off record anymore? Or is it just that noone made beats on Mpcs before the 1000? Anyway not to sound like an ass, but I would love for Trim Screen Mono Pad Triggering to be added to the next Os revision. Seems super easy to do. Does anyone feel me? =-)

give me ZONE!!!

By jksuperstar Mon Jul 26, 2004 12:26 am
the top row of pads each does something different in trim mode. 1 for playing the raw samples (pre-edit), one to play the loop portion (as long as you hold it ), etc, etc. Unless you're saying something different from what I'm describing.

See page 56 of the manual for what I'm talking about.

30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbohydrate. That's the 'zone diet'. 8)

yeah, I use the top row of pads. That has nothing to do with the trigger release. I mean when you you tap a pad and let go and sample plays. Not having to hold down. Like a real drum. More feel when cutting drums.

i've said it before and i'll say it again...

i really need the ability to 'freeze' muted tracks when swapping between sequences in track mute mode.
