Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Telichan Tue May 26, 2009 8:14 pm
My MPC sample/PGM library is collected on a flash card that is read via a SCSI drive connected to my 2000XL. I would of course like to back up this information but whenever I stick my card into my computer's external flash drive a significant chunk of my folders are missing. Are there any alternatives backing up this info -- i.e., why is this information not showing up when I take the card from the MPC to the computer and how exactly can I extract all of my data from this flash card? Thank you.

ive only worked with floppy, external/internal zip through SCSI, but i think i know your problem. when you save .snd files that means they are ONLY for the MPC. when you go into save you have the option to save "WITH SOUNDS" which with make them MPC .snd files or its asks "WITH .WAV". if you save .WAV then they are files that your MPC and your computer can read. However, i do not know what the save options are for flash rom. try to check out the options when saving for flash if you havent already.
good luck!

I also have looked for the same thing, and had no luck last evening with it. What I started thinking is probably there is some kind if a program which you can download, which can view all files and hopefully save all files. Nobody knows anything bout this?
