drum loops not recording as played.

just got osxl today and up til now I was just messing with projects I had already made but just now I wanted to record a drum loop starting with the highhats and they wer'nt coming out as played . I tried ajusting the frame rate I think that made a difference, I also change record to sequence length, is there somehing im missing I create great drums on the free version why do my loops sound off . im used to lookin at the numbeers scroll buy the grid sort of messed me up at first but then I started lookin at the #'s again , there just not where i put them , does it have to do with bit rate ,please help.

Do you have T.C. turned on?

Yes I've tried it on and of cuz I was makin some sick beats with it off, but like I said yes I did put it on 16ths, It feels like theres more spaces for notes? And I had good rythem before and now i'm off just a hair and it gets locked into another spot (sort of speak) does anyone know what I'm sayin. I went back to the free version last night and made the sickest shit, I think I was so on point tring xl that it came through into 3.09. I still waiting for the pass code. So I'm not really doing much with xl, but I would like to make nice sounding drum loops, so please if I 'm missing a setting ajustment let me know, If I just suck please don't let me know. peace

Did you have it set to 4/4? Check the time signature?

ya the times 4/4 I've been making loop after loop all morning it sounds so robotic, and there seems to me to be more space at the end so when it loops theres that slight hesitation , before it loops back I know this is an timing thing but like i said i switch back easy to make a drum loop. I adjusted the velocity of the pads down alittle so it can reconize pressure differences but that still only helped alittle. I went from doing 4 bars at a time for drums to 2 That also help a little all these percentages are adding up , but still I cant help but think my rythm is falling into unintended spots so I'm going to make my drums in 3.09 then save then load xl and go from there? can someone give me a link for jjos 1and two mabe theres a gap im missing some where along the way.

Check the entries in Step Edit and you'll see if your timing is off. Alternatively, upload your project folder and some kind soul may check it for you when they get a chance.

is it worth checking your chops again? could it be the attack default in program is different in xl? have you tried with quantize off - do they land in the right place then?
