I've been using the mpc1k for about a month now, i bought it used. since then I've step up my production sample game up fo real...but I have a situation. today I created a program and loaded up some samples and was ready to get down. I hit the pads. Nothing. no sound. i hit the window button and the pads are hitting but no sound. i then press mode<load and press F5 and i hear the samples! i go back to sequence. nothing. i know all the pads could've have died all at one time. I've looked through my manuals for troubleshooting. no help. could anybody that know's something about this help me out? :?

now I dont know if it is possible for this to happen... but is it possible that some pad has the solo turned on? that or maybe the volumes of those pads are muted or turned down all the way?

This is hella weird because it just happened to me to... the sound plays when i push the f6 play button, but when I try to play a sequence i made theres no sound. It shows that theres notes hitting though. Also if i go to trim mode and push a pad the sound also plays.. But in the main screen It dont do shit...

This happened right after i was **** around with trying to sync my akai mpk49 with my MPC, it didnt work but i dont know what changed which causes this...

Ok,

Try this,

MODE, PAD 9 (MIDI SYNC)

Hit f1 for Midi,

Scroll down to the end of the screen with the down arrow, to were it says

PAD TO INTERNAL SOUND :

If off is selected, thats were Your problem lies,

If so, switch it to off with the data jog wheel, and go back to the main screen, You should now have sound bro

Let Me Know if this helps!!!
