4000 and xpand

I just wanted to ask this b4 I go and mess something up.

I was wondering if I can use Xpand with my 4000 (or any MPC) like you can with reasons?
I dont like the feel of using keys to make drum patterns.
If so, do I just sync my MP with pro tools as per digi's website and try to tweek the setting in xpand?

I have a Digi 003, and a Axiom 49 if that matters. Running PT8.

If you know how to set up your gear there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Anything that sends midi should work with anything that can recieve midi, whether it be hardware or software based.

It is simply a matter of routing your midi signals correctly from the MPC to individual tracks in your DAW where the plug-ins are hosted.

Maybe someone with a 4000 and Xpand will volunteer to explain the correct way to do this....
