well it was good to see a reply, gives me some hope, thanks. for every pad i hit it thinks i'm pressing 10 pads simultaneously, according to the voice monitor. everything else works fine. it's as if it's on some sort of lighting fast arpeggio or something. i hit a pad and the readout shoots up quickly from a01-a10, playing all the samples in a row. this is wack.

Were these projects created on the same OS version? Anyway here's a couple guesses, assuming it's not a hardware problem:

- Is simult pad turned on, and triggering multiple pads?
- Did a sound get turned into a Patched phrase, which triggers chops in order like you described?

Thanks guys. Elevated, I'm not using any patched phrases or simults. Both projects were made on os2 1.18. It's acting a little differently today....
each pad thinks it's a different pad than it really is, and the harder i press the pad, the more wildly off it is. but sometimes it will work fine for a few seconds. in the 'pad' screen, where you can see the level of velocity as a bar for each pad, the readout corresponds to the correct pad when hit. but it also highlights the wrong number and several of the surrounding pads that are not being touched show a little activity as well.

when i'm in the mode+pad11 it reads the correct pads alot of the time, but that is pretty useless for what i'm doing.

the weirdest thing is, when mode is pressed, the pad i hit is the right one 9/10 times!
