MPC sync with Cubase SX3

Hi, could someone please help me out with my sync problems. I got an MPC1000 with JJOS2.

I want to use my mpc to record midi only. I want cubase to record my audio output only.

Do I set the mpc to sync out master? Or do I set it to sync in slave? What is the difference? I can also set both....

MTC time code or clock? I set MTC to 25 I read that is best somewhere. But I got no clue what the... this does.

I did something and its kinda syncd. When I press play yeah it plays along with my mpc. When I click record, it doesn't record it just plays.

I want to have this well setup please be descriptive. If you are to write something write it as if you are writing for a handicapped person. I am not at all knowledgeable with this stuff.

Hello I use Nuendo 3 and if I am understanding you correct.

You want to send audio to the audio tracks and midi to midi tracks?

if so you will need to setup the filter in cubase.

check in your manual on how to do it from Cubase 3
