Bought my first MPC and its a 3000

Hello everyone, I came home after being away for a year to an MPC 3000 that I have been waiting to take out of its package since I was gone. I got crackin, I figured out how to chop stuff, assign it to pads, but the looping and sequencing gets me in a bit of a pickle, not to mention theres probably alot of other stuff I dont know about. Just wondering where I should get started, I feel like I chose the hardest one out of the bunch to figure out (an ignorant opinion). Are there any other MPC's that have been thouroughly covered in terms of tutorials that are similar or almost identical to the 3000? As far as the basic youtube tutorials posted go, they were very helpful. I just want to start spitting fire out of this analogue sex symbol ASAP.

Welcome! You got a great MPC there bro.
Just read the manual, search these forums and even check out YouTube videos for tips and tricks for your 3K.

Congrats on your purchase! Like said above read that manual. You have to put the time in to learn and get comfortable with that machine. The more practice you put in, the more results you get in return. The same as anything in real life. Just put in the time and compare your beats from now to 3 months from now and you will see. Im talking from experience cuz when i got my mpc i was discouraged after a week cuz i wasnt putting out "bangers". I had to set time aside to learn the machine inside out. (still learning by the way) You gotta put in the work. Remember dr dre and j dilla didnt become masters of this machine overnight. They both put in countless hours of hard work. Oh and READ THAT MANUAL!!!!! lol Have fun.

Have look round these forums, I remembers some one posting links to a load for youtune vids about the 3000.

Good choice. The [Akai] MPC3000 was my first MPC I have ever touched and will be the only MPC I will ever use. Still have it till this day and always will
