isthere such thing as external scsi floppy drive.cant find 1

ive been looking everywhere for a external floppy drive with a scsi conection

ive found some with a parallel connection tho will that work with the mpc 20000xl


quick noobie question zip drives cant read floppy disks right

why?
you got an internal zip or floppy on your mpc, don`t you ?zip drives cannot read floppys, right.

it's definitely a good idea to skip the floppy format entirely whenever you can. it's slow by design, not because of the interface. external scsi probably wouldn't even make a difference in speed.

nah its jus i brought a mpc 2000xl but it comes with a internal zip drive but i got a ton of floppy disks with beats and smaples and stuff cumming with it so i wanted to get a flopy drive to pref a external

your best option will be to get a usb floppy drive, and use your computer to transfer it to a zip.. maybe even get a usb zip drive too.

i just yesterday got my card reader installed and working, going through a three week process of FOUR external zip drives and one floppy drive that didn't work trying to update the os.

I finally decided to install a zip drive into an old computer..
i wish i had done this years ago..
