copying 1 bar loop to 2 or 4 bars in a sequence?

I'm sure its obvious and i've checked the manual before you attack me, i'm still pretty new to my MPC.

Basically i want to record a 1 bar hihat loop, then copy that to 2 or 4 bars as a sequence so i can lay a kick and snare pattern over that...

If anyone can help me out, nice one.

which mpc are you using my 60 is just edit > copy event accordingly

i'm using a 2kxl,
isn't an event just the one note? i want to basically lay down a 1 bar hihat pattern, and then copy that bar over 2 or four bars so it becomes a 2 or four bar sequence so i can lay down a kick snare pattern over that etc.

then copy should be your friend and just copy it to the same sequence

First bar 1
Last bar 2

After bar 2

Copies 1

do this and it will make a 2 bar seq into 4 bars.

play around with the number of copies and you can make it 8 bars, 16 bars, etc...

this is with the MPC 2000XL

Well I'm not polish but german so we are kind of "neighbours" and I do the same

Its very easy.
Go to song mode and put in your 1 bar pattern 2 or 4 times (or how many you want).
Then press CONVERT and choose the destination sequence. DOIT. Bam
