rhymes wit stink. im super low level right now and get paid in boards and wheels (which i plan on selling on eBay since i dont sk8) but it was a **** just to get in there, only a couple people actually work at the office.

i had it but for the money i would get an akai dps12 off ebay. the fostex sucks because it only has 2 inputs and thats a real hassle later on. The dps is mad cheap now like 300-400 for a 12i. there great. 6 analog ins at once and with the effects card u have some good effects. and with a scsi card for your pc u can run mesa and control the automation from the screen. U can also get a file off some site that u can extrat the .wav files off a cd off the dps so computer transfer would be easy.

I have a vf-16. They goin kinda cheap on ebay. Fostex support for their products sucks ass. My hard drive locked up and they have One damn person that works on Tech support believe it or not. I lost like 40 songs messing with their bullshyt. I had to put another hard drive in to get my track back up. Try the korgs or the akai stuff. I like the Roland stuff but if I'm going to pay that kind of money(like $3000 for a 2480) I'll be getting the digi 002 instead.

the roland vs 1680 and the 1880 are crazy hot. Use ebay though. mad bargins.

Nothing tops the DPS series. Whether it's the 12i, the 16 or the 24 each one is tops in it's class. Those of us who have them know. Those who don't will be scrambling for them when they attain "cult" status. Don't take my word for it and don't wait to find out if i'm right or wrong just get one! You won't regret it.

I have the vs1680 with all the efx. Haven't used it yet though but I hear it's good. Copped off ebay.
And do any VS users know if their is really any difference in sound quality between the 1680 and any of the later models or is it just the accessories (burner, more tracks)?
