Thousands of records $1 each!!

Our basement is overflowing with overstock of records. These are not junk records. They are our clean doubles, triples etc. We just have too much and we need to make some room. So we are going to have a sidewalk sale this Saturday May 30th from 11am to 7pm. Everything outside will be a dollar. 12 inch singles, LP's, Double Albums, Box sets - all $1 each. Most genres will be available, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Country, R'N'B, Classical, Folk, Kids, Comedy and more.

And to really help us make some room we are going to do this Sidewalk Sale for 4 Saturday's in a row! And each Saturday will be DIFFERENT RECORDS! So to see all the records, come each week. If it rains one Saturday, we will just extend the sale. We are going to do this 4 times. So unless the weather messes up our plans, Future Sale dates will be 6/6, 6/13 and 6/20

With that said, if anyone wants to meet me with an extra (throw away) turntable, I wouldn't oppose.

The motor on my TTX died...

The owner said that someone was coming at the end of the day to buy the rest of the records outside, so the next week will be a total different selection. I had the Acura out front, probably the only odd person going through the bins. I got about 14 records, went inside and grabbed some from their selection inside too... and got a comic book. There was this lady trying to sell a few stuffed dolls, one was a Barney doll, that was funny. I'll probably be stopping by next week to check the selection then.

Here's a short clip of what the outside looked like.

Stopped by again this weekend. I remember the guy saying there would be some new stuff out, but didn't seem that way to me. Still left with 25 records.

You can't complain too much then! You wouldn't even get half that amount here for $25.
:)

Not complaining at all. Just thought the way the owner had put it, there would be a completely different selection. He was bluffing.

Ok, so 3 weeks in a row I hit the sale. And for 3 weeks I left with a good amount of records.

This week I was ripped off, didn't realize it till late.

I got Marvin Gaye's Live at the London Palladium and Isaac Hayes' Black Moses. Both which are double record LP's. Both only had 1 record. The one time I didn't check because the previous times were issue-free, is the one time I get screwed.

3rd times a charm I guess.

Won't be attending the 4th week.

Thanks for coming out everyone. We have one week left.

I posted the original message the owner posted on Myspace/ Facebook. If the selection wasn't great, I apologize. The selection was randomly grabbed from our back stock, to make more room..

I personally never checked what was going out. With the amount of Vinyl sold (approximately 210 crates or so worth, that's hard to do). Again, there's always diamonds in the roughs...

70 fresh crates or so each week, and yes at the end of each sale the remainder was bought out and taken away. We have one more sale left, due to past cancellations ( rain ). And that's that. So the next Sunny Saturday will be it.

Also, we have a pretty hefty collection inside as well (mostly $3.00 records and up). Each Friday our record guy comes in and restocks (Late Friday and early Saturday are the best times to come in for records).

And as always we have our eBay store (this is what I handle).. 3000 + LPs on hand. Worldwide shipping (oftimespast on eBay)...
