So, I've been thinking that my mpc could really benefit from some outboard effects that I can use live, etc....is the mfc 42 really worth it? I really like that its analog, and that it has turntable inputs, and that it is midi controllable - but $450!!! I could buy two cheaper lexicon and/or alesis units for that...w/midi!! Any owners want to comment?

Better yet, anybody know a cheaper price than the musicians friend nonsense?

Personally I think It's not worth $250. I'd rather get something else for that amount of money. and jeezuz they're charging $55 for those metal clamps.. damn...

My brother uses the MFC 42 in his live PA and it sounds fat.

You can get them (in the UK) for £189 from http://www.digitalvillage.co.uk
