just curious if anybody had these for the 3000
i have a 2nd hand 3000 and it needs some work but i can read schematics and work on the gear i have the tools but if someone could drop some science on me with out the fiction, i would help a brother out crucially!

so far the back light is out... i figure 30 bucks or so
the sample input in not reading and/or the audio out isnt working?
plus its kinda worn so maybe i learn a bit on it as far as repairs but not... freestyle repairs!

peace and thanks in advance in a b boy stance

Kind of like a road map when dropped in a new city :-)

Or turned off ... ( press the contrast knob until it clicks to turn off/on )

Maybe said board is disconnected, not getting power or some other problem ...

Well ... a good place to start learning :-)

I see mister_sosa74 has posted a link to the service manual ...

Never seen an online one before.

Checks out ok too, except for the apparent absence of schematics ...

Good luck.

That download link doesn't actually have the schematics in it. It just has the parts list and a few other pages.

Does anyone know where I can buy a paper copy of the complete service manual? I'd be willing to pay for someone to take their version to Kinko's or similar and get a duplicate made.

I'm also fixing an MPC 3000. Supposedly it just needed a new backlight, but the reality so far is that the CPU board isn't supplying the +5 to the Inverter board and therefore that board isn't supplying the +75 VAC or whatever is needed to drive the backlight. Once I get the +5 fixed on the CPU board, then I'll be able to see if the inverter is still good....

So - once again - anyone willing to have a copy made of their entire service manual?

thanks

That's a good question. I am about to have my local tech look over a used MPC 3000 that I have on layaway, and I was wondering the same thing. Anyone willing to PM me with schematics--personal use only, mind you--I'd really appreciate it. The service manual download was certainly helpful--thanks for that, too.
