HEEEEELP : ( do i have to resatr when isnt JJOS2 ?

i have a little BIG problem here

a friedn was here to show me some mpc tricks.. and he loaded he JJ OS 2 on starup ( i always worked on 1)

we both assumed it was licenced...

but fvck! i where sitting here for some hours made a gooood beat, wanted to save it and it asks for PASSWORD

so... DO I HAVE TO RESTART if i buy and want to install JJ OS 2

in that case my project would be lost anyway....



also i cant freakin record it even because i just sold my audio interface to get an Apogee Ensemble

If you want to change the OS you have to restart the mpc, the only way would be buying the license for OS2 for you MPC, you don't have to restart then, only enter the password and you can save your projects
I had a similar problem, i allready installed os2, but didn't have the password yet, then i created some beats and wanted to keep them, but the registration took about one week, cause paypal did some weird security check, so i couldn't power off my mpc for one week

i am confused... you speakin about JJ OS 1 and 2 right?


i have 1 licensed / installed


the project i want to save was made on JJ OS 2 wich is runnign now still because i dont know what to do


when i want to save it asks for a PASSWORD matiching my SYSTEM ID


so can i purchase the JJ OS 2 PASSWORD and type it simply in or do i haveve to restart for some reason?

(where purchase ..the JJ OS page confuses me)

Nope, you just enter the Password, thats all, no restarting!
And OS2 is definetly worth the money....

The only work-around for this problem i can imagine would be to record the midi-tracks into a daw and write down the Sample-Assignment and Settings for the Programs, so you can reproduce them in Os1.
But there is still the problem that you cant save the chopped samples...
I think there is no other way to keep your project then buying the license
