Finally an internal drive install kit for the MPC2000 ...

Are you sure you got them from my company and not from that dude on eBay who has the username "scsi4samplers"? I haven't sold Zip drives since 2005 and just started carrying them about two months ago, due to one customer's request who needed to buy a lot of them.

i repair my own ive dropped it a few times and stopped working but i fixed it.....anyways do yuo guys sell the disc for a 250? i just neeed disc. 250ZIP

i'm confused, i have the smpte option installed in my 2000, however i never use it. i'd need to remove it before i could use this kit?

paddles: Yes, but only because we need the hole in the back of the MPC2000 where the SMPTE connectors are.

if my memory serves me correctly yes, i got the first from you like maybe 2 or 3 years ago. Ive never bought anything off ebay. I must be mistaken though.

but...

1. I have the smpte option... is there a workaround?
2. I would like an internal card reader...but I also like my hard drive..
is it poss to use/keep both?

Gents, you have to remove the SMPTE option or else cut another DB25-shaped hole in the rear of your MPC2000. No way around that, sorry.

djquiet, the internal drive kit will still allow you to use any external drives you have, such as your HD.

I may be wrong...
but there will probably be a cable running from the external scsi port through the smpte hole back into your machine...

You would be wrong. No cables running inside any holes.

Okay, okay! Here are some pictures that should give you an idea of how it all works. I don't have a picture showing the rear cable in place but you can see the cable and see how it looks. It's a very small cable and it fits snug on the back of the MPC - once installed, it will be left on all the time. Let me know if you have any questions.

So basically It's a loop back method that get's the internal drive working?
