problem with Soft 3.10 mpc 60

Hi I have a mpc 60 mk2 and I was given an OS 3.10 for it.
I installed it without any problem. I turn on the mpc all is good, I can sample and edit the sound, assign it to the pad I want but when I want to change the tempo of the sequence, I have a message of error and I have to reboot.
I have done this 3 times and it always crashed at the same moment.
Can I fix it without changing the eproms or I must buy another one?

Ps no hack memory in my mpc.

How did you get the OS? Did you buy second hand or new. If it is second hand your screwed probally (i.e. this was the reason for selling) If you bought it from Roger Linn's site I bet that if you contact them that they will sort you out. Anyway it is not supposed to do this.

Hi I get the os from a friend of a friend of mine.
Could the bug be because an inversion of the chips?

If you put the chips incorrectly, the OS will not load at all.

If you're using a pirated version of the OS, then there may be a bad bit in there that's causing your problem.

If you purchased it through Roger Linn's site, contact them directly to resolve your problem.

In the end, you get what you pay for. Pirated OS = no support.

Just to be clear I WAS GIVEN this os.
How can I know if it's not a pirate version? I mean is there something written on the chips? If yes what is it?

Post of pic of the top of the chips or let us know everything that's written on the labels.

there is no label. It only written MX on the chip

MX == MACRONIX branded.

Highly possible these are Bootleg copies. ( Roger doesn't use "MX" chips in my experience )

You got what you paid for; a gift of zero value...

Buy the real thing, get warranty, support and no hassle.

If problems occur with the real thing then at least we can trouble shoot the MPC knowing the OS is OK.
