Capn's beat was definitely more my style...I understand the off beat style isn't for everyone, but that simple bassline is sick as fuk...I don't know, ****'s grimy. I like.

Nym's beat is completely different. I think if anyone here is a master of the mpc, it's probably nym. His knowledge and skill is fuking up there. With that said, I think that nym's music highly intricate and deliberate, but almost too perfect. His compositions are so perfect, that they take on this garage band loops flavor. **** is too clean and too perfect, which in turn diminishes the soul and emotion that would otherwise be conveyed. just my opinion

I don't think you meant anything by your statement... But that could be misconstrued as a tad racist. "raw", "street", can sometimes be seen as "code-words" for black just like "urban" especially when it's used in reference to radio stations. Plus the fact that the white kid in your scenario is sayin all this, as you put it, immaculate, well-thought out, and complex ish.

It's the same argument people used for b-ball years ago. The white players had the smarts for the game and everything was real strategic. Whereas the Blacks were just out there running and jumping with no thought put into their actions. There's a comedian Bill Burr that has a great bit about that.

i was being overly stereotypical to make a point.. just the same as when ppl say white men cant jump - of course that is B.S., but theres also some truth to it or else that statement wouldnt have been so pervasive. but i see what youre sayin... and i shouldve left the 'white kid' bit out cos obviously that is irrelevant. my bad..

i think all this trash talking has made for a great (or should i say entertaining) battle though.. i know its childish .. but its like wrestling... the buildup and the trash talking can be just as good as the fight itself

Dude, I liked your beat - and actually I changed my vote to vote for you a few days before it closed - but Nym's drums were super nice. The way they were layered. The way it sounded like a real set (not the same sample triggered over and over like when people do that with a singular hi-hat. his sounded like someone on a drumset). His rhythms (the turnaround). They were good drums.

I'm not hating. I'm not dickriding. I think that you two had a hella even battle. No one lost. Someone edged it out. At first I thought it was him. Then I reconsidered. But either way it's like 51/49. And it's mainly his drums keeping his beat in the game IMO.
