need help with Note Repeat?

hey guys, just wanna say thanx for all yall's help with hooking up my Mpc to my Computer, well i got down laying some beats but got this problem now. well i was wanting to use the note repeat to make some snare roll and stuff you know, but for some reason it is not responding??? can it be bad or i'm not doing something right?? thanx guys..


Oh and 1 more thing, i got some hi hats down, but for some reason when i playback it come outs different from what i've recorded, different sound, Any comments on that??/

about note repeat, ur sequencer has to be playing for it to work. so hit play, hold down the button while holding down a pad. also make sure timing isnt selected to OFF.
