MPC2000XL-Whole setup

I have recently purchased an MPC2000XL and want to get a studio set up but was wondering what else I need...I have turntables and a mixer, a laptop (which is pretty powerful but aint gotta great soundcard)..I also have speakers and an amp so think I nearly have a full setup but was wondering do I need to get a studio mixer or do I just use Pro Tools?..what is the best price and where can I get these things (Pro Tools & studio mixer) from...anything else you guys think I would need let me know..(by the way, I will be making mostly Hip-Hop beats).

first things first : if you want to record anything from your MPC you'll need a decent soundcard...buy one that includes free Pro Tools if you really want to use that.
Don't bother about anything also as your soundcard is your primary connection between your laptop/PC and the outside world (your MPC)

(unless you mix your songs down to WAV in MPC, then transfer them via some medium to Laptop/PC...but this is not really the way to go)

if ur post is any indication of how familiar/comfortable you are with audio equiptment, i suggest u focus on the mpc for a couple months and then figure out what piece of equiptment will best suit your needs.

Pro Tools sucks! I know it is a studio standart but check other DAW's too! Like Cakewalk Sonar 8, Ableton Live 8, Steinberg Cubase 5, Reaper 3.0, or Sony Acid Pro 7. Download a demo-version from each DAW and try it at home... This DAW's doesn't require an "special designed" interface like pro tools (mbox or else). I think that an interface with 10 in's and out's+faders like the behringer bcf2000 will be that what are you looking for...
