How come some loops play soft for 4 bars and the some play louder for 4 bars?(same sequence) And you are not maxing out the polyphony?

Never heard of this... Um.. Its not your program levels, Your mixer or any filters that are on. Did you record the sample that are low sound? If so Record them agian and raise the recording level.

the only thing i can think of is maybe the tail of the loop is somehow interfering with the head on the next go rounds . . . cause i've noticed the mpc can get "creative" with levels to avoid clipping . . . just a maybe . ..

Are you using just one MIDI event in Step Edit? If more than one, check the Velocities are all as they should be...

I used a freinds MPC 2000xl with the same exact samples and had no problem. Must be a bug.
