i could do it on the 2500, can i do it on the 500?

ok when i used my boys 2500 i could reverse a sample and save it like that.. is there a way to do that on here ? or do i have to do i bfore i load it up ?


Also.. a question about chopping samples.. i havnt really choped anything yet on the 500 but on the 2500 i could chop things into 4's or 8's .. can i do that on this one?

Use the reverse function in trim mode.

You can always take the sample start number and subtract that from the end number. Then divide the number you get by 4, 8, 12, 16 ect. Then you have your sample start/end points for a loop.

The 500 doesn't have a chop feature. When I was using the mpc 500 I would have to manually set the start and end points of each chop and then extract as a new sample......when working with large samples that need to be chopped into multiple pieces this can be a little burdensome....if you are going to be working near a computer you may be better off using Wavosaur(totally free) where you can set the start and end points on you PC screen and then you can extract all the samples at once to a folder, drag that folder to you Mpc and all of your chops are ready to go.
