MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

For those interested, I like being able to identify drives quickly so I made a drive icon for the MPC5000.

PM me your email and I'll send the two files needed. The files are super small (16KB in total).
When you get the files all you have to do is mount your 5000 and put the two files in the root directory.
This means that you just drop them into the actual 5000 hard drive don't put them into any folder contained/made inside the 5000 hard drive

-the first file is the "MP5.ico" file (the icon itself)
-the second file is the "autorun.inf" file (This puts the icon into effect. It makes it so that every time you mount your 5000 the icon will show as the drive icon)

If you want to rename the drive you can go into the .inf file and change "AKAI MPC5000" to whatever you'd like. Just remember to save it afterwards.

In case you do mess up :shock: , the contents of the "autorun.inf" file is:

[Autorun]
Label=Akai MPC5000
Icon=MPC5.ico

Just copy paste the three phrases above into a new notepad file and save it as "autorun". 8)

(BTW, this is for Vista. I don't know if it works on any of the other platforms)
