Simult and Q-Links in JJ os XL 1K

Hi everyone,

I really enjoy using the arppegiator for percussions and the chord funktion for external synths...

i have always followed this forum and one question remained to me.

What is all that simult and q-links discussion about that people here are so thankful for the update in 1.15??

I really tried hard but could not discover what simult can do, or i how i can benifit from that function. maybe thats becaus i am german and the jj manuals are even though they are english like chinese to me.

i understand though that i can easily use q-links from the main screen to control the arppegiator for example..

but further then that, i have no clue what you guys are talkin about...

could anybody please give me a short and easy explanation how these two features (scpeacially simult) could enhance my workflow??

In a nutshell, simult allows you to trigger multiple pads from a single pad and is especially good for drum layering. The update in 1.15 allows you to either record every pad of a simult into the sequencer by hitting one pad, or the other option (which everyone wanted!) is where only the single pad is recorded.

Having played around with it for the first time today I can see why people were so pissed off by not having it in XL!

Hopefully getting the qlinks up to os2 standards will be next...

ah thanks, i guess i do that all the time by sequencing one after another.... so is this for saving a layered drumm pattern, like the chord function? i dont see any advance in that except for that i can easily save a bassdrum that i layered for using it again in the future right?
