i would urge everyone who has a concern with the q-link situation in os 2xl & wants JJ to fix it to email him directly with your request. make it short, easy to read, and to the point.

this is what people did with simult & look at the result: JJ fixed it! once he hears directly from a number of people about the problem, i think he will be more motivated to fix it.

ive checked the qlink thing that jj mentioned regarding simult 2

It is as it sounds: if you set the filter on, only the original pad gets filtered when you play with the qlink.

this is the only difference between old simult and simult 2 that i notice. interesting considering that all the other qlink behaviour is track only.

oh duh! I should've done this before :P
what email address is this? I can't seem to find it on the JJ site. I guess the one that sent me the OS password?

Hopefully the qlinks will be sorted out in the next update.

I only had chance to have a quick play this morning but I found the screen flashing in Trim a bit weird... i'm obviously missing something. :?

now all he has to do is fix the q-links and everything will be all set.

...and i don't want to hear that fixing the q-links is 'impossible', because for the longest time JJ said fixing simult was 'impossible' too!

100% agree.

I'm still not touching XL until the Q-Links are sorted.

+100 on it!
Qlinks are crucial in my workflow, it's where I start play with mpc, -qlinks, start sample exactly...

He probably didn't see the part about the changes in Trim mode... it will take some getting used to

yep. use the email address that JJ sent you the password from to email him back.

i'm really hopeful that JJ can fix the q-links.
all the new stuff in 2xl PLUS working q-links (and the ability to automate PAN & VOLUME somehow) would make for a very powerful OS. i'd love to be able to move to 2xl full-time. i'm confident that JJ can pull it off.
