Getting the mpc 3000 sound. Which S series to choose from?

I got one for my S3000i, these are an improvement over the stock Akai ones.



It does come with SCSI. I just need to get SCSI device for my computer. I also found something out. It has AES/EBU on the back above the SCSI port. When i opened up the 2800i, i saw that the AES/EBU was unplugged from the motherboard. Any ideas why someone would do this? The SCSI device is also missing it's cable. But there is only 1 SCSI port on the motherboard anyways.

Nope, can't say that I do. But as for hooking it up digital, if your CPU has a digital out, (like lightpipe or SPDIF.) you can use a converter box to get it to the S-2800i.

I am having trouble finding the right SCSI cables and SCSI PCI Adapter. Is there list of what can be used? And will this s2800i receive the Recycle 2.0 files? I was reading a post saying that it is only MIDI compatible and not SCSI compatible. Is this true?
