no sound from mpc to headphone

Hey so I bought an mpc500 and im new to this. I know how to load and assign kicks , snare etc to each pad. I can listen to the kicks wen I trim it and wen I assign it to each pad. But wen i go to sequence and try to tap the pads there's no sound comming out?! Please help me!!! Thanks in advance.

try pushing full level or hitting the pad harder, the preview plays back louder than a samples default
level of 70
go to mode----program----sample level----bring it up to 100 see if toy hear it
go to mode----other-------set maser output to 0db
